My second choice for this Show and Tell is a photograph of the Belfast International Ladies Cross Country race at Stormont in Belfast on 5th January 2008.br/ br/ Why did I select this image?br/ br/ a) there had been a previous race and I had walked around part of the course and found this corner.br/ br/ b) there was a lot of mud in the foreground and snow in the background and the spectators were on a hill behind the runnersbr/ br/ c) there was a curve in the track which gave an impression of depth in the picture and meant that more runners were visiblebr/ br/ d) this was early in the race so the runners were still bunchedbr/ br/ e) I also liked the shapes in the photograph:br/ - square shape of the runners at the frontbr/ - triangle shape of all the runnersbr/ - arc shape of the spectators enclosing the runners and keeping the eyes in the photographbr/ - the 2 runners on left and spectators on right acted as stops and also keep the eyes in the picturebr/ - contrast between the mud and the snowbr/ br/ Hayley Yelling from England, number 83 won the race.
